Σε ποιον ταιριάζει το ΔΠΜΣ Smart Telecom and Sensing Networks;
Το Διιδρυματικό Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών «Smart Telecom and Sensing Networks» απευθύνεται σε πτυχιούχους μηχανικούς υπολογιστών, ηλεκτρολόγους μηχανικούς, μηχανικούς τηλεπικοινωνιών, πληροφορικούς, φυσικούς και αποφοίτους συναφών τεχνολογικών πεδίων που επιθυμούν να εξειδικευτούν στις ευφυείς τηλεπικοινωνιακές και αισθητηριακές δικτυακές υποδομές. Το πρόγραμμα εστιάζει σε προηγμένα δίκτυα επικοινωνιών, αισθητήρες και δίκτυα αισθητήρων (IoT), οπτικές και ασύρματες επικοινωνίες, edge/cloud υποδομές, επεξεργασία σήματος, ανάλυση δεδομένων δικτύων και κυβερνοασφάλεια. Συνδυάζει ισχυρό θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο με εφαρμοσμένη μηχανική και ερευνητική πρακτική σε διεθνές και αγγλόφωνο περιβάλλον, προετοιμάζοντας τους φοιτητές για απαιτητικούς ρόλους σε τηλεπικοινωνιακές υποδομές, έξυπνα συστήματα και βιομηχανία αιχμής.
Ταιριάζει ιδιαίτερα σε όσους:
έχουν ενδιαφέρον για ευφυή δίκτυα επικοινωνιών και αισθητήρων.
θέλουν να εξειδικευτούν σε προηγμένες τηλεπικοινωνιακές τεχνολογίες και IoT.
επιθυμούν να κατανοήσουν σε βάθος την αρχιτεκτονική και λειτουργία έξυπνων δικτύων.
αναζητούν ένα ΠΜΣ με έντονο τεχνολογικό, εφαρμοσμένο και διεθνή χαρακτήρα.
ενδιαφέρονται για ασύρματα, οπτικά δίκτυα και συστήματα ανίχνευσης.

Γνωστικό Αντικείμενο – Σκοπός :
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degrees programme SMARTNET is a collaborative two-year (120 ECTs) joint master degree programme with the goal to provide training in the inter-disciplinary fields of photonic and 5G wireless technologies for data communication, sensing and big data processing. It will be accomplished by leading European Universities with distinctive and complementary academic qualities and strong educational and research traditions, namely:

The programme complies with the ERASMUS mobility rules. Incoming students will start from any of the three institutions where they will spend the first two semesters of their studies and receive the core part of their training. The third semester will be carried out in a different institution and will include specialization courses that enhance the interdisciplinary of the offered degree. The fourth semester will be devoted to an independent project that will be reported in the Master’s thesis. Students will carry out their MSc project in close collaboration with industrial partners
Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών (Μαθήματα – ECΤS)
The MSc programme SMARTNET has been designed through intensive consultations with the European industrial stakeholders on the required knowledge and skills of their current and future workforce. The proposed EMJMD has received enthusiastic backing from industry. A focus on the employability of students in the SMARTNET programme is supported by the strong presence of 19 industrial partners, who will contribute enormously to the training experience of the students by bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical applications and by enhancing their industrial links, employability and entrepreneurial skills. The proposed MSc programmes have already attracted substantial international interest from HEIs in Armenia, Australia, USA, Belarus, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan (see letters of support). We envisage SMARTNET programme to become a lighthouse that will attract the brightest minds from all over the world and create the next generation of international scientific leaders in the big data, photonic and wireless communication fields, thus enhancing the European knowledge-based economic performance, innovation and competitiveness.
